Best Wired Earphones for iPhone in India (2026): USB-C & Lightning Picks
For an iPhone 15 or any newer model, buy Apple EarPods (USB-C); for an iPhone 14 or older, buy the Lightning version. Both were ₹1,649 on Flipkart when we checked. The connector decides everything else, so check your port before you pick a pair.
USB-C iPhone (iPhone 15 or later): Apple EarPods (USB-C) are the safest buy and the best for calls; the Sennheiser CX 80U is our pick for music and the Belkin SoundForm (USB-C) for workouts.
Lightning iPhone (iPhone 14 or older): Apple EarPods (Lightning). Already own Apple's USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter? The ₹599 Sony MDR-EX15AP is the best budget pair.
Our top picks
Best overall and for calls
USB-C
Apple EarPods (USB-C)
Apple lists every USB-C iPhone, and the remote handles volume, playback and calls.
Model MYQY3ZM/A · USB-C · open earbud with remote and mic
If you own an iPhone 15 or anything newer, this is the safe purchase. Apple lists every USB-C iPhone as compatible, the remote handles volume, playback and calls, and Flipkart had it for ₹1,649 against Apple's own ₹2,190. The open earbud shape is the trade off: it sits loosely and does nothing to block outside noise.
Specifications from Apple's product page. Apple's India store page is the source for compatibility and remote functions; Apple does not publish driver or cable specs
What we like
Compatibility is guaranteed by Apple for iPhone 15 and every later model on its list, running iOS 17 or later
Remote controls volume, play and pause, and answering or ending calls; the iPhone User Guide adds Siri on a long press of the centre button
The cheapest way to get Apple's own wired earphones for a USB-C iPhone
What could be better
Open earbud shape with no ear tips, so it cannot seal out noise on a bus or metro
Apple publishes no driver size, cable length or water resistance rating
Apple makes no lossless or hi res claim for EarPods
Buy it if
Anyone with a USB-C iPhone who wants earphones that simply work for calls, music and video, with no compatibility guesswork.
Skip it if
You commute in noisy places or exercise hard. A sealed design like the Sennheiser CX 80U or Belkin SoundForm will stay put and block more noise.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: The default answer for USB-C iPhones, and the one to beat on value.
#2Best for Lightning iPhonesLightning
Apple EarPods (Lightning Connector)
Model MWTY3ZM/A · Lightning · open earbud with remote and mic
For an iPhone 14, 13 or anything older with a Lightning port, this is now the cleanest wired option. Apple still sells it at ₹2,190 and Flipkart had it at ₹1,649. It matters more than it used to, because Apple India no longer sells its Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: Still the right pick for Lightning iPhones, as long as the phone is staying.
#3Best for musicUSB-C
Sennheiser CX 80U
Model CX 80U · USB-C · sealed fit with ear tips, remote and mic
The best specified option for music on a USB-C iPhone. Sennheiser describes a digital USB connection with 24 bit, 96 kHz support, and its January 2026 launch note says the interface is class compliant and plug and play with iOS. Add a sealed fit with three tip sizes and the official ₹1,790 price, and it is our pick if sound matters more than Apple branding.
Specifications from Sennheiser's product page. iOS compatibility and 24 bit, 96 kHz support are from Sennheiser's 28 January 2026 launch announcement; other specs from Sennheiser's India store
What we like
Sennheiser states class compliant, plug and play USB audio for iOS
Digital USB connection with 24 bit, 96 kHz support and a 9.7 mm driver
Sealed fit with three ear tip sizes, so it isolates far better than EarPods
What could be better
Sennheiser confirms iOS support in general but does not list specific iPhone models
The remote handles playback and calls; Sennheiser does not mention volume buttons or iPhone specific behaviour
Warranty is not stated on Sennheiser's pages; Flipkart lists one year
Buy it if
USB-C iPhone owners who listen to a lot of music, travel by train or metro, and want a sealed fit.
Skip it if
You need a model specific promise from the maker. Only Apple and Belkin list iPhone models one by one.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: The music pick for USB-C iPhones, on the strength of its stated specs.
#4Best for workoutsUSB-C
Belkin SoundForm Wired Earbuds (USB-C)
Model G3H0002 · USB-C · sealed fit with ear tips, remote and mic
Belkin is the only third party brand here that lists iPhone models by name for its USB-C earphones, from iPhone 15 to the iPhone 18 Pro. Add IPX5 sweat resistance, a 2 year warranty and silicone tips, and it is the one to buy for the gym or a run. Flipkart had the black version at ₹2,010.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: The sweat proof, warranty backed pick for USB-C iPhones.
#5Lightest USB-C pickUSB-C
Sony IER-EX15C
Model IER-EX15C · USB-C · sealed fit, volume buttons, remote and mic
Sony's USB-C earphones are very light, about 3 g without the cable, and have dedicated volume buttons, which the Sennheiser does not mention. Sony's help guide explains Siri and mic mute on iPhone, though it names no models and warns some functions may not work with every device or app. Flipkart had it for ₹1,590.
Specifications from Sony's official help guide. Sony India's product pages blocked our checks, so the help guide is the source for specs and iPhone notes
What we like
Separate volume up and down buttons, plus a multi function button with mic mute
Sony's help guide covers using it with an iPhone, including Siri
Very light earpieces and a cable adjuster
What could be better
Sony names no iPhone models and warns some remote functions may not work depending on the device, OS or app
Sony says it is not waterproof
Small 5 mm driver; Sony India's own pages could not be checked
Buy it if
USB-C iPhone users who want a sealed fit and proper volume buttons for under ₹1,600.
Skip it if
You sweat a lot or want the certainty of a model by model list. Pick the Belkin.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: A sensible alternative to EarPods if you want a sealed fit, with a small compatibility caveat.
#6Sealed fit for LightningLightning
Belkin SoundForm Wired Earbuds (Lightning)
Model G3H0001btBLK · Lightning · MFi certified, sealed fit, remote and mic
The only MFi certified alternative to Apple's Lightning EarPods we could verify. Belkin lists iPhone 7 through the iPhone 14 series, gives it a 2 year warranty and fits silicone tips, so it seals far better than EarPods. The catch: we found it only on Amazon, where we could not check the price.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: Worth a look for Lightning iPhones, once you have checked the live price.
#7For more than one device3.5 mm + adapter
Apple EarPods (3.5 mm Headphone Plug)
Model MWU53ZM/A · 3.5 mm plug · open earbud, needs an adapter on modern iPhones
The right EarPods if you also plug into a laptop, a work PC, an Android phone or an in flight entertainment jack. On an iPhone 15 or later you need Apple's ₹1,090 USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter, which brings the total to roughly what the USB-C EarPods cost alone. Apple confirms the remote and mic on iPhone, but not specifically through the adapter.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: Buy it for flexibility, not for an iPhone alone.
#8Best budget (with adapter)3.5 mm + adapter
Sony MDR-EX15AP
Model MDR-EX15AP · 3.5 mm plug · sealed fit with mic
At ₹599 on Flipkart this is the cheapest name brand sealed earphone with a mic that we could find from an authorised source. It only makes sense for an iPhone if you already own Apple's adapter: add the ₹1,090 adapter and you are past the price of USB-C EarPods.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: Great value, but only if the adapter is already in your drawer.
#9Cheapest spare pair3.5 mm + adapter
boAt BassHeads 100
BassHeads 100 · 3.5 mm plug · sealed fit with mic
A ₹299 spare pair to keep in a bag, if you already carry Apple's adapter. boAt's page lists a 10 mm driver, an in line mic and a one button remote, with a one year warranty. It says nothing about the iPhone, so expect calls to work through the adapter but treat the button controls as a bonus.
Prices change often, sometimes daily. The listing at the retailer is the only price that counts.
Bottom line: Cheap and cheerful as a spare, not as a main pair for an iPhone.
USB-C or Lightning: check your iPhone first
Apple says every iPhone from the iPhone 15 onwards has a USB-C port. The iPhone 14 series and the iPhone SE (3rd generation) were the last to use Lightning. If you are not sure which you have, look at the charging cable that came with the phone, or check the model in Settings, General, About.

Why a USB-C plug is not a promise
This is where most wrong purchases happen. Apple's support article on the iPhone's USB-C port says accessories that comply with the USB standard, microphones included, will work, and warns that ones that do not comply may not. It does not mention third party earphones by name, and it says nothing about earphones that rely on the phone to send an analog signal down the port.
That matters because some cheap USB-C earphones carry no electronics of their own. Earphones that work as proper USB audio devices have a small digital to analog converter (a DAC) inside. But even a DAC is not proof on its own: Samsung states its EO-IC100 has one, yet lists only Samsung devices as compatible.
So our rule is simple. Buy third party USB-C earphones only if the maker names the iPhone or iOS. Of the ten USB-C models we checked, Apple, Belkin and Sennheiser do; Sony documents iPhone features without naming models. JBL's own spec sheet for the Tune 310C says "please check USB-C compatibility with your device", and boAt and Xiaomi say nothing about the iPhone at all.
Adapters: what works and what to avoid
USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter (₹1,090 at Apple): Apple lists every USB-C iPhone from iPhone 15 onwards. It lets you use any 3.5 mm earphone, but Apple does not say whether a headset's mic and remote work through it.
Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter: Apple's support page says it works with Lightning devices on iOS 10 or later, but Apple India no longer lists it in its store. Flipkart copies come from third party sellers, so match the model MMX62ZM/A and check the seller.
USB-C to Lightning Adapter (₹3,500 at Apple): Apple says it carries charging, data and audio for Lightning accessories on USB-C iPhones. It does not name Lightning EarPods specifically, and it costs more than new USB-C EarPods, so it only makes sense for expensive Lightning gear you want to keep.
Skip unbranded "USB-C to 3.5 mm" and "Lightning to aux" converters. Apple's counterfeit accessory advice covers Lightning products and recommends buying MFi certified accessories only.
Apple EarPods: USB-C, Lightning or 3.5 mm?
Apple sells three versions of EarPods in India, and all three cost ₹2,190 on Apple's store. Apple describes the same remote for each: volume, playback and answering or ending calls. The only real differences are the plug and the list of devices each one supports.

Apple makes no lossless claim for any of them. Its Apple Music support page says lossless playback works over a wired connection, and that sample rates above 48 kHz need an external DAC.
How to choose wired earphones for your iPhone
Connector first. Match the plug to your iPhone's port, or budget for an Apple adapter.
Fit and comfort. EarPods are open earbuds that rest in the ear; the Sennheiser, Belkin, Sony and boAt models use silicone tips that seal the canal. A seal blocks more traffic noise, but some people find tips tiring over long calls.
Microphone and controls. Every pick has a mic. Only Apple confirms the full remote on iPhone; Sony documents Siri and mic mute; the rest describe their buttons without naming the iPhone.
Durability. Belkin quotes IPX5 sweat resistance; Sony says its USB-C model is not waterproof; Apple mentions sweat and water protection without a rating.
Sound. We have not run listening tests. On paper, the Sennheiser's digital USB audio with 24 bit, 96 kHz support is the strongest specification here.
Warranty. Belkin states two years; boAt one year; Apple's pages do not state a term for EarPods, and Flipkart lists one year for the USB-C version.
Genuine stock. Buy from Apple, the brand's store, or a marketplace listing where you have checked the seller.
Wired or Bluetooth?
Wired earphones have no battery to charge and no pairing to manage, and there is no wireless link to add delay, which helps with video and casual gaming. Apple also notes that lossless Apple Music works over a wired connection, while Bluetooth is not lossless on older AirPods and most Beats.
The trade offs are real. A cable snags on bags and door handles, and on an iPhone it occupies the only port, so you cannot charge while you listen unless you add an accessory. If you already wear wireless earbuds most of the day, a cheap wired pair still makes sense as a backup for calls when the batteries run out.

Our final recommendations
iPhone 15 or later, one pair that just works: Apple EarPods (USB-C).
iPhone 15 or later, music and commuting: Sennheiser CX 80U.
iPhone 15 or later, gym and running: Belkin SoundForm (USB-C).
iPhone 14 or older, staying on that phone: Apple EarPods (Lightning), or the MFi certified Belkin SoundForm (Lightning) for a sealed fit.
You also use a laptop or older devices: Apple EarPods (3.5 mm) plus Apple's adapter.
Already own the adapter and want a cheap spare: Sony MDR-EX15AP.

Questions people ask
Which wired earphones are best for iPhone?
Apple EarPods for most people: the USB-C version for iPhone 15 and later, the Lightning version for iPhone 14 and older. Both were ₹1,649 on Flipkart when we checked. For better isolation and music, consider the Sennheiser CX 80U on a USB-C iPhone.
Do USB-C earphones work with iPhone 15 and newer?
Apple's own USB-C EarPods do, and Apple says standard compliant USB-C audio accessories work. Third party models are safe when the maker lists iPhone or iOS, as Belkin and Sennheiser do. Some USB-C earphones make no such claim, and JBL's Tune 310C spec sheet asks you to check compatibility yourself.
Can I use Lightning earphones with a USB-C iPhone?
Only through Apple's USB-C to Lightning Adapter, which costs ₹3,500 and which Apple says carries audio for Lightning accessories. For Lightning EarPods, buying USB-C EarPods is cheaper.
Do Apple EarPods have a microphone?
Yes. All three versions have a built in remote and microphone that Apple says can adjust volume, control playback, and answer or end calls. The iPhone User Guide adds that pressing and holding the centre button activates Siri.
Are wired earphones better than Bluetooth?
They are better at some things: no charging, no pairing, no wireless delay, and Apple says lossless Apple Music works over a wired connection. Bluetooth wins on freedom of movement and leaves your iPhone's port free for charging.
Can I use 3.5 mm headphones with an iPhone?
Yes, with an adapter. For iPhone 15 and later, Apple sells a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter for ₹1,090. Apple India no longer lists its Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter. Apple does not say whether a headset's mic and remote work through either adapter.
Do third party USB-C earphones work with iPhones?
Many do, but not all. Check that the brand lists iPhone or iOS: Belkin lists models from iPhone 15 onwards, and Sennheiser states class compliant USB audio for iOS. Samsung's USB-C earphones list only Samsung devices, and boAt and Xiaomi make no iPhone claim.
Are Apple EarPods worth buying?
For calls and everyday listening, yes, especially at the ₹1,649 we saw on Flipkart. Compatibility is guaranteed and the remote works fully. They are a weaker buy if you want noise isolation or a secure fit for exercise.
How can I avoid fake Apple EarPods?
Buy from Apple, an authorised reseller, or a marketplace listing where you have checked the seller. Match the part number (MYQY3ZM/A for USB-C, MWTY3ZM/A for Lightning). For other Lightning accessories, Apple advises looking for the MFi badge.
Which wired earphones are best for calls?
Apple EarPods, because Apple confirms the mic and call controls on iPhone. The Sony IER-EX15C is a good alternative if you want a sealed fit and a mic mute button, which Sony documents for iPhone.
How we chose
We researched 23 products on 25 October 2026: 21 wired earphones that are sold in India and Apple's two headphone adapters. For each, we opened the manufacturer's own page or documentation for the connector, the iPhone compatibility statement, the mic and remote, and specifications, and read prices from the retailer's live listing.
We then shortlisted nine using these tests:
Stated iPhone fit. the maker names iPhone models or iOS, or it is an Apple product; for 3.5 mm picks, Apple's adapter is required and noted
Verifiable specifications. from the brand or, where the brand's site blocked us, an authorised retailer, and labelled as such
Calling. a microphone and inline controls
Real availability. a live listing from Apple, the brand, Flipkart or an authorised store
Value. price against what each pair does that cheaper ones do not
We have not listened to, measured or tested these earphones, and we give no ratings. Sound comments rest on manufacturer specifications. Amazon.in, Croma and Reliance Digital block automated checks, so Amazon rows show no price, and Sony and JBL India pages could not be opened, so their details come from Sony's help guide, Sony Center and JBL's spec sheet.
Left out: JBL Tune 310C (JBL asks buyers to check USB-C compatibility themselves), Samsung EO-IC100 (Samsung lists only its own devices), boAt BassHeads 300C and Xiaomi Type-C Earphones (no iPhone claim), Belkin SoundForm ANC (its list skips the iPhone 17 models), and Sennheiser CX 80S (out of stock). Samsung EHS64, Shure SE215, OnePlus Type-C Bullets, Sony MDR-EX155AP and JBL's C50HI and C150SI were not for sale, lacked a mic, or were beaten by a pick
